Welcome to Project CERT and Project ARES.  This is an effort to create 2 ultimate vehicles to be used by local Community Emergency Response Teams and an Amateur Radio Emergency Service® program to help with their operations within their communities and to help promote these programs nationally.

Site Changes Coming

Since been a while since this site has been updated, we felt it was also time to upgrade the site completely.  Over the next week, we will be working to change our site over from Joomla! 1.0 to Joomla! 1.5.  We are slowly upgrading some of our sites to use the newer Joomla! 1.5, which in some cases will give us better operation and control over our sites.

Once we started using Joomla!, we found that this was one of the quickest and easiest ways to maintain our sites.  No more hand coding our pages or having to learn more HTML codes.  The Joomla! crew has made the effort to upgrade a little easier than it was in the past, but we still may have to take the website down for a few hours while we make the move to the new system.

If you come to the site and its down, check back later as it will be back up as quicklky as possible.

    Thank you

The Kaufman County ARES, Inc. and Kaufman County CERT, Inc. members
